The bengal cat has got to be
the most enigmatic of cats. Sleek, athletic and wild in feature and
spirit.
The Bengal was derived from breeding a wild Asian Leopard Cat to a
domestic cat. The breed was started in the early 1980s by Jean Mill
when you read her book you see what a remarkable achievement it was,
Here I aim to breed the best markings I can and use Imported lines
from my sires and a selection of lines from my Queens. All my
kittens are handled from birth and shared happily by my Queens who
trust me implicitly. It is a humbling experience being allowed to be
part of these cats' lives.
I learnt the hard way that you have to do things on their terms and
relate to them in a relaxed but confident way. They adore being with
you and will follow you around like a dog - sharing a shower with a
Bengal is an experience one has to have at least once! . Easy to
train very adaptable, hardy and affectionate. All my cats are used
to dogs.
My foundation Queens carry a lot of Millwood, Brockenmoor , Bundas
and Aluren (Import) I aim to produce rossetted pelts, wild profiles
and gentle natures. My foundation Queens are Brockenmoor Tuhina lady
o rings ( Precious) and Iklass Goldie some of their daughters have
been reatined as future breeding queens. Both these Queens pass on
the most marvelous pelts.
I have Browns, Snow spotted and also Marbles.
I found it frustrating in the extreme trying to find a stud cat at
open stud (Impossible in fact!) which drove me to purchase two of my
own stud cats - a feat in itself!
They are available to outside
Queens. I aim to better this already fantastic breed not keep great
genes to myself, I had to start somewhere and was given a lot of
help, if I can help someone else in return then my debt is paid.
In February 2008 I was lucky enough to be allowed to have my first
Pixie Bob Queen first litter due in May 2008. This breed is just
scrummy, More details to follow .
I owe my cats a debt of gratitude for making my life more fulfilled
and happy for having them in it, they have my devotion.
